Bachman Lake Together recently hosted a panel discussion at one of the Welcoming America Interactive Conference stops in Dallas. AVANCE-North Texas Executive Director Ana Lorena Carrasco joined Bachman Lake Together staff, partners, and parent leaders on the panel, which drew more than 60 guests from all over the world interested in learning about creating inclusive spaces for immigrant families.
The International Welcoming America panel provided information about how community partners work together to support immigrant families and communities, addressing their unique needs, activating their voice in the community, strengthening their leadership, and increasing their security and confidence so that they can integrate into a new community.
