AVANCE North Texas supports the Consulate General of Mexico with IME BECAS efforts. The IME BECAS Scholarship Program provides financial support for adult students of Mexican or Mexican origin to enroll in the following undergraduate and adult education programs: basic, primary and secondary literacy, GED preparation courses, computer classes or English as a second language (ESL) classes, occupational training and certification of work skills. They also fund the higher education program for outstanding students of Mexican or Mexican origin living in the United States and pursuing a bachelor’s degree. This is possible thanks to the generous support of the North Texas community.
